Centre for the Development of Communication Tools
The Centre’s remit is to carry out work on the design and development of communication tools, as well as to conduct research and implementation work on the use of modern technologies and methods for automating statistical production processes that are capable of assisting or replacing human labour.
In particular, the Centre’s tasks include:
- analysing the current and future expectations of users of statistical products;
- conducting analyses concerning the implementation of new forms of communication utilising modern technologies;
- identifying opportunities for the use of machine data processing to automate statistical production processes;
- carrying out, in cooperation with public statistics bodies, development work on modern tools to support the publication and dissemination of statistical results;
- designing, developing and implementing IT systems capable of supporting or replacing repetitive tasks;
- administering, updating and developing the communication tools that have been implemented.
